Mint Podcast NFTs, Earn A Share Of 500 OP Tokens

The Optimism Grants Council granted us 500 OP tokens as part of our proposed growth experiment to onboard listeners to OP Mainnet. These rewards will be offered to listeners who mint eligible Podcast NFTs on OP Mainnet between July 24, 2023, and August 18, 2023.

Eligible users will be awarded 25 OP tokens per NFT minted. There will only be one NFT available per drop and a total of 20 drops. Make sure you’re minting our official NFTs on Zora. Please read the FAQ below for details and exclusions.

How can I participate?

~~Keep an eye out for our Podcast NFTs released between July 24, 2023, and August 18, 2023~~. Update July 28th: Each weekday, visit ether.fm/nft to fill out a form and enter the keyword mentioned in the day’s podcast episode. We will select a winner who will then be whitelisted to mint the day’s Podcast NFT on OP Mainnet.

Each Podcast NFT will be available to mint as a 1/1 for a fee on OP Mainnet (via Zora). If you minted the 1/1, please hold the NFT in your wallet until this campaign ends. Only 20 NFTs will be available for this campaign.

When will I receive my rewards?

Rewards will be sent to eligible users on or before August 20th.

Why do I need to pay to mint the NFT?

~~Each Podcast NFT will be sold for a price of 0.003 ETH (~$6).~~ Update July 28th: If selected as a winner, you will be able to mint the NFT for free. However, there is a Zora platform fee of 0.000777 ETH as well as network gas fees. Be sure to bridge ether to OP Mainnet.

Why did you get this grant?

We applied for a growth grant as part of Season 4, Cycle 13 Optimism grants. The purpose of this experiment is to maximize the number of users interacting with applications on Optimism. In this case, the application will be Zora. All 500 OP tokens provided through this grant will be sent to eligible Podcast NFT minters, with any remaining tokens to be sent back to the foundation.

Please be aware that this is our first experimental campaign. We will monitor this campaign and may make changes, such as creating an allowlist. We are limiting rewards to a max of 100 OP per person and reserve the right to disqualify any addresses that abuse this campaign.

Which Podcast NFTs are eligible?

Ethereum News Briefing Podcast NFTs minted on OP Mainnet for any of the 20 episodes listed below will be eligible for a chance to get a 25 OP token reward. Mirror Writing NFTs are excluded. Secondary sales are also excluded.
